The costs of sugar have increased again throughout Pakistan, with the speed of the sweetener rising by Rs5 per kilo gram inside two days, Geo Information reported Tuesday.

The happen comes after Prime Minister Imran Khan praised his financial staff for bringing down the worth of sugar to Rs81 per kg a couple of days earlier.

Now, the worth of sugar per kg in main cities of the country, together with Lahore, Karachi, Quetta, Multan, and Faisalabad, has gone up again.

A 100kg sugar bag is being offered for Rs8300 in Karachi’s wholesale market. Thus, it’s accessible at Rs83 per kg. Furthermore, within the retail market, sugar is being offered for Rs90 per kg.

Based on sources, sugar costs have gone up by Rs11 per kg inside a month. In some areas of Karachi, the sugar is being offered for Rs100 per kg.

In Lahore, sugar is accessible for Rs85-90 per kg, whereas in Quetta, residents are compelled to purchase sugar for Rs90 per kg. The identical sugar was accessible at Rs80-85 per kg previous month.

In Multan and Faisalabad, sugar costs have gone up from Rs90 to Rs95 per kg. Residents demanding a discount in sugar costs say that substandard sugar was being offered at Rs 68per kg at utility stores.
